After talking to friends and family, looking up other travel blogs and guides, I have settled on the itinerary below. 4. This looks like so much fun, Jaz. Is that a pic of Iceland back there? We stayed in San Pedro, Belize several years ago. It's still my favorite place we've ever visited. Enjoy your insane trip to everywhere!

  6. Thanks everyone for the enthusiasm. Actually, one of the reasons I posted my itinerary is because I would love to have friends join me at any given time...

  7. I've always wanted to visit this cafe in Edinburgh

Years ago, they allowed a welfare mom to sit in the cafe all day while purchasing only a cup a coffee as she worked on her novel. I want to return their good karma.

  8. Sounds like a dream trip! Brian suggests Bruges and Luxumbourg, two of his favorites. He also says to read "Notes from a Small Island" by Bill Bryson when or before you're in the UK. I think you might want to consider adding a day in Cinque Terra to your Italian Itinerary -- beautiful mountains and beaches, just ask Rick Steeves :) Cheers!

hey ! best food for traveling a jar of peanut butter and bread!!! :) that's what a couple from norway told me many years ago when I met them in Machu Pichu....some times you can add to the menu and get bananas, water and wine... international menu, economical and healthy !
    their budget was a dollar a day... I think :0 ?
